Charlie Smith

Charlie Smith is a composer, producer and instrumentalist from Seattle. After cutting his teeth in the jazz scene he started working in the pop music world as an arranger. Before long he joined indie-rockers, Throw Me The Statue, as a sideman. After a few years on the road he began focusing more on spending time in the studio as a producer. He was awarded Seattle Weekly’s Best Producer for his work with Pillar Point, Kairos, Katie Kate and Pollens. All the while, creating music for radio and TV ads. 

Now, as the host of The Artist Politic, he is focusing his creative efforts on giving artists a platform to talk about their thoughts on the social/political issues facing our community.
